Whom the Lord Calls, The Lord Qualifies.
Can I get a drum roll please...... Transfers were this week and I'm thrilled to be staying in Concord. I was asked to be a Trainer, so on Tuesday I met my brand new companion, Sister Magoon. She's straight from the MTC, and I'm thrilled to be her first companion. I'm so Excited! I love this area SO much and the people are like family.
To be honest, I feel completely unqualified to train a new missionary. President Blair says being a trainer is a sacred opportunity for a missionary. You are able to shape what kind of a missionary they become for their entire mission. You help shape their attitude and the way they teach. I am pretty nervous, but I read this quote from President Harold B. Lee and it helped. "Whom The Lord Calls, The Lord Qualifies."
"Moses, Jeremiah, Enoch and others had feelings of inadequacy about their callings. The Lord promised them He would strengthen them and give them the words that they should say. Missionaries today have the same promise if they will conquer their fears and open their mouths."
David B. Haight (Liahona Oct 2001)
I may not feel adequate right now, but I know God will help qualify me. I need to do everything I can and trust Him as He molds me.

1. What specifically don't I trust Him with?
2. Why don't I trust Him?
I invite you to ponder the same questions and search for ways
you can let Him in and allow Him to work miracles in your life.
The Browns are doing great, in fact Brother Brown received the Priesthood yesterday!! Aba is a cute little missionary himself, only having been a member 6 weeks and he brought his friend, Moses, to church on Sunday. My heart is full!!
We are still meeting with George and Laura. I adore Laura. She pinches my cheeks and gets mad at me if she thinks I didn't dress warm enough. She cares so much for us and calls us "You Rascals You". Ah, I just love it here. I'm certain my heart will break when I have to leave. New missionaries typically train for 2 transfers totaling 3 months. That means by the time I am probably transferred from Concord I will have spent almost 8 months here...nearly half my mission. Yes, I'm certain my heart will break.

"President Monson has said, "We are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness--be they family members, friends, acquaintances, or strangers. We are the Lord's hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us." Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these, ....ye have done it unto me."
I love you all,
Sister Scherzinger

You're amazing Alex!
